Braiding is more than a hairstyle. Across Africa it is a craft passed down through generations, and it is the craft our salon was built on. Azmera African Hair Braiding is owned and run by Azmera, who leads a close-knit team of experienced braiders at our salon on Old Colony Avenue in South Boston.
Azmera is hands-on with every booking. She matches each client with the braider best suited to their style, coordinates timing so appointments run smoothly, and checks that every finished look matches what you asked for. That personal attention is why so many of our clients have stayed with us for years, from first braids to full loc journeys.
